Please Take Note of The Following Changes made by Mastercard for Car Hire
As of immediate effect Mastercard have updated their rules for charging for damage to a rental car. As a customer you now have to be informed of the damage and the amount to be charged. If you know of the damage and agree to it then the charge is made as a seperate transaction from the rental .
This means that now when you sign your car rental agreement at the time of the car being checked out, you cannot be charged for damage through this agreement and have to approve of the charge seperately. Previously upon signing your car rental agreement, your card would be swiped and you could be charged at the companies discretion. This means that now you, as a customer,are more in control if any damage is reported on the car after your car hire.
